Six vehicles, including a Volvo lorry and an Iveco lorry, were involved in a crash on the M1 in West Northamptonshire at 23:45 on Monday 27 October 2014. The 49-year-old male driver of the Volvo lorry was seriously injured and the 29-year-old male driver of the Iveco lorry and the 46-year-old male driver of the DAF Trucks van were slightly injured.

It happened after dark under street lighting in fine weather on a dry dual carriageway with a 70 mph limit, away from any junction.
