Four vehicles, including an Audi A6 and a Skoda Fabia, were involved in a crash on the M1 in West Northamptonshire at 17:10 on Sunday 2 December 2007. A 5-year-old female passenger in the Skoda Fabia was seriously injured and a 10-year-old female passenger in the Volkswagen Golf and the 44-year-old male driver of the Nissan Almera were slightly injured.

It happened after dark under street lighting in fine weather on a dry dual carriageway with a 70 mph limit, away from any junction.
