Fatal M1 crash in Milton Keynes on 9 November 2006 at 20:44 involving a Vauxhall Astra

Eight vehicles, including a Vauxhall Astra and an ERF lorry, were involved in a crash on the M1 in Milton Keynes at 20:44 on Thursday 9 November 2006. The 70-year-old male driver of the Vauxhall Omega was killed, a 69-year-old female passenger in the Vauxhall Omega was seriously injured and the 59-year-old male driver of the Ford Transit van was slightly injured.

It happened after dark under street lighting in fine weather on a dry dual carriageway with a 70 mph limit, away from any junction.
