Eight vehicles, including two Ford Transit Connect vans and a Renault Kangoo van, were involved in a crash on the A59 in West Lancashire at 14:06 on Monday 25 April 2005. A 20-year-old female pedestrian hit by vehicle 1 was killed, one other person was seriously injured and three were slightly injured. One of the others was a pedestrian.
