Four vehicles, including a Honda CBR900RR motorcycle and a DAF Trucks FA 55LF lorry, were involved in a crash on the M61 in South Ribble at 19:45 on Tuesday 8 March 2005. The 44-year-old male rider of the Honda CBR900RR motorcycle was killed and a 20-year-old female passenger in the Ford KA and the 20-year-old female driver of the Ford KA were slightly injured.
