Four vehicles, including a Volvo lorry and a MAN/VW van, were involved in a crash on the M6 in Westmorland and Furness at 01:26 on Saturday 15 November 1997. A 34-year-old male pedestrian hit by the MAN/VW van, an 18-year-old female pedestrian hit by the Fiat Uno and a 24-year-old male pedestrian hit by the Volvo lorry were seriously injured.
